No matter what happens in life, I just ride my stress away. Every morning when I wake up, I got on a bike ride with my Big Flyer and it is very relaxing. Everyone is inside because of COVID and I am just catching blocks.

The image displayed is the COVID-19 virus. This pandemic has caused many conflicts within the economy and society. and overall ruining 2020. Personally, I was looking forward for the track and field 2020 season and just hearing it being cancelled when just beginning definitely pulled a nerve. Also, being unable to socially interact with friends, students, and teachers is quite odd considering being quarantined the majority of the time. Lastly, working out and getting exercise in is also quite challenging as most gyms are still closed where I live and how its hard to buy and find equipment around to use as everyone has that same mindset to find some weights to use.just causing stores to be sold out and emptied. That's how I feel about this pandemic and what it's done for me and others similar to me.

One section of the UTAS student accommodation on College Road, Sandy Bay. Here reside several hundred university students from across Tasmania, Australia and the world. At the beginning of the year residents would gather at social events, making new friends and reconnecting with old ones. But when the pandemic reached Tasmania the mood grew tense and students withdrew into their accommodation.

A photo showing a slice of quince and apple pie and the set-up for the board game 'Wingspan,' both symbols of the happier moments of the pandemic for me. Staying at home has given me the opportunity to make ridiculous amounts of pie - something I've always wanted to do - and play ridiculous amounts of board game, which I've always loved. It's important to find things to enjoy right now, and these are some of mine.

My favourite UK electronic band, Disclosure, released a new single from their forthcoming album "Energy" during lockdown. The track, also called "Energy" is a work of house/electronic music art that reflects the times we are currently facing. It's uplifting, direct, exotic, punchy and a lot of fun to listen to.

After Tasmanian restrictions were eased for the first time on Monday 18 May, these signs started to appear around the University of Tasmania's Sandy Bay campus. They show the university's response to allowing a limited number of people on campus daily and the safety procedure of having a temperature check and wearing a sticker to confirm that each person on campus is well.

Many students have been impacted by the Coronavirus due to the continuation of school online. They aren't able to interact with teachers and their fellow classmates, leaving them unmotivated to do their classwork. I personally dislike the idea of online school since I'm not really learning anything and just want to get the work over with so I can just relax. Nothing is going through my head, leaving me clueless and unprepared for next year. When there are tests, I tend to have to refer back to my notes due to not being able to understand the concepts. AP tests are also very unfair due to the various prompts with different levels of difficulties. The Coronavirus also impacts my future school life due to the fear of not being able to return back to school. College systems are also changing amidst this epidemic such as phasing out the SAT and ACT throughout the years. This virus has a big and negative impact on our education. #OnlineSchool #GGHSAPUSH

Change Sucks, Live Beyond It
Covid-19 was a joke. I remember sitting in class and everyone would joke about how this
little disease would become eradicated quickly; however, it became very real as our school shut
down on March 13th. I will not forget the rainy day we were left with that day as I wandered
around my school seeing how shocked everyone was. Now, this led to what we’re all living and
dreading right now, quarantine. If you’re like me and many others, you don’t find this lock down
appealing in the slightest, in fact, you want society to return to the norm. Many, see this
unprecedented moment in history as something that will tear the world apart; but, there are still
many benefits to this quarantine despite the great boredom it brings into our lives. For instance,
we’re able to have more family time, something we take for granted in life. Although it may
seem like too much family time, it’ll probably be the only time in your life that you’ll ever be
able to have a chance to bond with your family members. Not only that, it’s a great time to
explore hobbies, learn something new you’ve never gotten the time to do, or discover more about
yourself. Change is still something that is seen as a tough hurdle for people, no one likes it.
Living differently affects everyone, no one likes a sudden change from their comfortable
lives. The impact of the disease had its negatives with shutting down many businesses and
shoving people into their homes for extended periods of times; yet, there are many wonderful
things occurring around the world. We’re seeing that animals are returning to their homes to live,
new scientific discoveries being made in the medical world, and new ways of solving our
problems. We’re humans at the end of the day and we were built to work beyond changes in our
lives. Despite businesses going bankrupt as well as schools, we’re seeing people adapt to the
internet through e-commerce and building academies in replacement of huge universities. People
have been shoved into the digital world and are adapting to it, finding creative ways to keep
entertained and continue their work. I truly feel that Covid-19 has made everyone realize that
they took everything in life for granted, not realizing the transience of the beauty woven into life.
Quarantine has its downside too and what I encountered during this event was, I saw the
slow deterioration of my mental health of mine occur. I was losing hope and the light insinuating
possibility in my dreams dimmed. Quarantine made me realize how weak of an individual I am
as each day passed on and it felt as if I lived the same everyday. This in turn, made me compare
myself to others and wonder why can’t I be as great as them or think that I won’t succeed in life.
I grew tired of this feeling as a month passed by, so I pushed for change. I watched plenty of
videos to build a foundation of what I wanted to do with my life and I started with exercise to
build my mental strength. My dream is to inspire people so I chose to start running and forming
this strong mental fortitude that could overcome any obstacle thrown at me. I did more research
on life and how the body functions and why we think the way we think. I turned the tables on my
problems and rekindled the flame I called possibilities. Quarantine has taught me that despite
how bad of a situation life may put you in, there’re always solutions waiting to be made and you
have the ability to see beyond the circumstance and exceed the limitations.

This item was the first thing I created once entering isolation. A project that I have been putting off for several months, it created an outlet for me to channel the initial nervous energy of the isolation situation. In this I contributed to a larger trend on Instagram in the sewing community, #sewcialdistancing, in which cosplayers, embroiderers, historical costumers, and other sewers began channeling their own excess energy into projects.

Calicraft, a brewery located in Walnut Creek, California, launched "the Quarantine Blues Juicy IPA" during the state's shelter-in-place. Restaurants and bars across the state are struggling to stay in business and some establishments, like Calicraft Brewing Company, are finding creative ways to drive business despite the difficult conditions. I discovered the beer on Memorial Day and it brought some much needed levity to the day. The label includes a clever poem/song that reads: Sittin' on the porch, got nothin' to do. Grab yourself a can of the Quarantine Blues. Kidz going crazy, you could use a little hazy. Crack yourself a can of the Quarantine Blues. Runnin' outta TP, makes you feel kinda queasy. Pour yourself a glass of the Quarantine Blues! Drink up: at home. Pair with: Tiger King, Homemade Bread. calicraft.com // @califcraft #ASU #HST580 #SanFranciscoBayArea

Quarantine is boring, but it's nice having this time away from school. I haven't done much other
than sleep and video games while getting through all this school. Sometimes it's hard to keep
track of everything that all of my teachers need done but I eventually figure it out and get it
done.

My friends and I, went to visit our teacher down near the beach, there we also went to witness stupidity and people who we thought were only seen on the news and on the other side of America. In a safe, masked drive by, we saw maskless protesters flaunting their maga flags and hats, ignoring social guidelines, and protesting about not being able to get their haircuts and go to work. We witness stupidity and ignorance.
