"In the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, tribal nations – comprised of some of the most vulnerable communities in the United States – have been left out of the conversation. As the COVID-19 pandemic has now reached all 50 states, tribal governments also face heightened challenges to protect their citizens, and have inadequate federal funding and resources to do so." #IndigenousStories

This is a "Covid-19 Pop" handed out by a co-worker of my partner and a virus skeptic as a "joke" a few weeks ago. I am uncertain where the humor was supposed to lie. I do think it is an interesting record of what people were thinking and how they were processing this moment. The company laid off half of the workforce due to the virus a few days later.

Residents of North Adams, a small city in Western Massachusetts have begun compiling community recipes and kitchen hacks into a digital cookbook. From the organizer: "Think of this like a potluck, where you share your recipes and your friends can make your dish themselves. It's a way for us to stay connected in these socially distant times."

Now that we are well into our second month of social distancing and isolation at home, we need to look for new ways to amuse ourselves during down-times. I'm getting tired of television programming and streamed videos. In our household, we've found that working on a jigsaw puzzle is a good way to relax for a few minutes between work, chores and other activities. I got this puzzle for Christmas a year or two ago, and it was forgotten in a closet until I discovered it and put it to use the other day.

This is my third entry, and I have found that people are beginning to not pay rent. The apartment complex have posted notes on the door's of people who have yet to pay, threatening to evict them. Sadly, I doubt this will amount to anything, as very few people are still here and so I wish them luck in evicting people who aren't even here, since they are threatening to actually evict people. It truly shows how much they care for us as their tenants when they shut down all of their services and leave rent prices the same, truly magnificent.

I currently live in Chicago with my mother, stepfather, and my four little siblings. Because of the pandemic, all playgrounds are closed and fenced off with biohazard tape (which, I find amusing). Lots of large parks are open, but these days they tend to get oddly crowded when it's nice outside. On this beautiful afternoon, we decided to take the kids to ride their bikes in the large and unused parking lot of the Basic Wire & Cable Company, a very out of the way spot where I learned how to ride a bike and drive a car. #DePaulHST391

We are a family of four living on a hobby farm in SE Minnesota's Driftless Area. Two kids are home from University. One will miss her graduation event and the other is in Med School doing on-line classes 12 hrs a day. The country internet is slow and nerves are fragile because of that. We've been out grocery shopping numerous times, but haven't seen any friends. It's very isolating. We've let neighbors and friends know we are available to help shop or cook and are cooking food for delivery to a homeless shelter. We have no close family and have heard from almost no one. People here seem to have closed in with their families and churches and excluded much of the outside world. Watching the news, we fear for our country. There seems to be no plan for the future, only empty political hype.

As the threat of COVID-19 drew closer to home a few local retail businesses in Kentucky have responded through social media by producing topical merchandise designs such as this one. A play on the state slogan “united we stand, divided we fall” it is a nod to the social distancing rule of keeping six feet apart. It is also a humorous re-imagining of Kentucky’s state flag design, which usually reads “Commonwealth of Kentucky” instead of “Commonhealth of Kentucky” and normally features the two figures seen in the center of the image shaking hands. In this image, however, they stand like the rest of us, being in each other’s company from a distance. #DePaulHST391

○ Every day at 5pm people across the state of Kentucky turn on their televisions and tune in to Governor Andy Beshear’s daily update on COVID-19. For many this daily ritual has become a source of comfort and encouragement, a glimmer of hope. Every day for weeks Governor Beshear has come on TV to remind Kentuckians that their individual actions are powerful and their choices to follow social distancing guidelines during this crisis directly affect the other people in their communities, and reminds everyone that as “Team Kentucky” the state will get through the COVID-19 pandemic together. #DePaulHST391

After calling "Rock, paper, scissors," the girls ask each other what they picked. The first to answer that question is usually the first to lose.
