Covid-19 Statistics and Final Thoughts
Well, Covid-19 has effected us ALL and as a country too. In the U.S, 25.2 million people have tested positive for Covid-19. Also, unfortunately 420 thousand Americans have died. In the world, many people have tested positive for Covid-19 and also have died form this foreign virus. The exact number of the cases and deaths in the world from Covid-19 is extremely high and very discouraging. My History teacher actually tested positive for Covid-19 not too long ago, and at first, I was shocked. My school told me that I had to stay home and quarantine for 14 days. I was scared that someone so close to me contracted Covid-19. I was scared for my family, my friends, and myself. I am very glad the my history teacher and his family have fully recovered. Covid-19 has made 2020 and 2021 very rough. I has been very difficult learning online and having no social life. I am saddened by how many cases and deaths have appeared over 2020 and 2021. Living through this pandemic and learning online was very frustrating and annoying. I just pray for all those families who lost their loved ones. Overall, 2020 and 2021 has been a roller coaster ride for me. I just wish the best for everyone else. -

Symptoms of Covid-19
Some symptoms of Covid-19 that I know of are a fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, fatigue, vomiting, etc. I know multiple people that has contracted Covid-19 in my life such as my uncle, my aunt, and my cousins. I was shocked that they actually got Covid-19, and even now they are still recovering. Also, my history teacher tested positive for Covid-19 a couple days ago. He said that he and his family are feeling better. I am very glad that most people who get Covid-19 recover fully. Overall, I am really afraid for my parents, my grandparents, and my family. Covid-19 is spreading quickly, but I am very thankful that the people in my family who tested positive, are now feeling better. I hope more people will recover from this virus and be stronger from it too! -

Covid-19 Rules and Procedures
Some rules and procedures that I had to follow consistently was wearing a mask, being outside, and social distancing. This was hard for me because I kept forgetting to follow these rules. For example, one time I was hanging out with my friends and we were way too close to each other, but we did not know that. We continued talking until someone told us to social distance. We realized that we were not social distancing and we separated ourselves quickly. I do not like any of these rules because they are a lot for me and my fellow friends to always follow them. We sometimes forget or we are tired of wearing a mask constantly. Whenever I followed any of these rules, I felt tired, annoyed, disappointed, and a little sorrowful. Overall, I dislike all of these rules very much, but I know that they are necessary in order to ensure the maximum safety of myself and others. -

Virtual Learning
Well, my school decided to teach virtually. I was quite saddened by this news. I was hoping we would be over with this virus, but apparently not. My routine is basically wake up in the morning, take care of my dog, eat breakfast, and go to school on my computer. I enjoy sleeping in a little more and not having to get ready for school, but there are lots of challenges along with virtual learning. I had a very difficult time learning online and it was difficult to do projects at home. I did not have all the supplies so I could not do some projects. Some classes were strenuous and I was exhausted at the end of the day. Also, some other benefits of online learning is not wearing a uniform and not waking up early for school. Overall, I enjoyed some things about virtual learning, but I also struggled with some parts too. I would rather want to go to school so I can make new friends, learn much more, and get to know my teachers. -

Covid-19 Origin
Well, way before Covid was spreading, I first discovered that Covid originated in Wuhan, China by watching a video. I thought about how unsanitary that place was and how disgustingly dirty it was. I learned that it originated in bats and that it was in a "wet market". I was disgusted by this and I felt that China should shut down all of their "wet markets". Over the months, I learned more about this virus and I learned that there is another version of it in North Africa. When I first discovered this virus, I thought that it was just a virus and we did not have to worry about it. Apparently not. It spread all over Europe and came to the United States. Everyone was freaking out and then schools closed. After, quarantine started. Now, I realized how serious this virus truly is, and I am downright scared. -

My Christmas of 2020
During the December of 2020, my Christmas was different for me this year because I was socially distanced and I was careful when I was with family. First, when my family arrived at my cousin's house, my cousin and I decided to walk his dog and I went with him. We wore masks during our walk and we stopped by some houses to deliver presents. We had to be outside, socially distanced, and we had to wear masks to deliver the presents. After, we went back and ate lunch, We had sushi and some grilled chicken and it was great! We hung out and my cousins and I played video games together. Also, my dog played with their dog and it was great. I sang some Christmas carols but we had to be outside and socially distanced. We opened presents inside but we were very careful. I got socks, clothes, Airpods, Apple Pencil , etc. We did not give hugs or any other physical contact which helped us stay safe. Overall, this Christmas was very different than the others, because of how we had to stay outside, be socially distanced, and wear masks. I enjoyed this Christmas a lot, and I am thankful I could spend it with my family. -

The Beginning of the Corona Virus
In the month of February, I was just going to school as usual and I was doing my schoolwork. I was in 7th grade before Covid-19 occurred and I was just a student at a private school. A couple of my friends were talking about this new virus and they seemed worried about it. I did not hear about this virus on the news yet, so I just thought it was already under enough control. I believed that the scientists would find a cure without delay and that there was no reason to worry. Also, I did not think that it was possible for it to spread so quickly. Soon, this virus was spreading faster than ever, and I was becoming more worried. I was afraid that it will spread in America, and I was right. I watched the news after school, and I saw that countries were shutting down and schools were closing. Then, my parents received a message about my school closing. I did not know how I felt about this and I was still in shock. After, I remembered that an indication of this virus spreading occurred to me before. It was when my friends started to discuss about this new virus way before it became a global pandemic. I should have known that life could only get worse from here. Then, the quarantine started.
