First question is: how has COVID-19 affected your faith or beliefs?
Speaker 2 0:07
I think COVID-19 has affected my beliefs and faith greatly. Me personally, I'm a Christian, so it’s taught me to rely on my faith much more even though a lot of right now is in the unknown. So just like reading my Bible, and you know, going to church online has really helped me to have strong faith and have a positive outlook on life.
Speaker 1 0:34
Nice. Question two is: is your religious community still gathering currently? How has COVID-19 affected your participation in your religious community?
Speaker 2 0:47
Yes, so my religious gathering is not physically meeting but they do have church online for anyone to join, like streamed through YouTube and through like my own churches app. And, yeah, and what was the other question, part of that?
Speaker 1 1:07
And then the second part of that question was: how has COVID-19 affected your participation in your religious community?
Speaker 2 1:14
I would say it's kind of, like, the same. I mean, it's obviously different because everything's online. and I'm not very like a technological savvy person. But yeah, my church has many different streams, whether that's in the morning or like night and throughout different days, but very accessible for me.
Speaker 1 1:34
And the last question is: is your religious community supplying or engaged, any kind of community service in an attempt to alleviate issues caused by the pandemic? If so, where are those efforts?
Speaker 2 1:49
So, my church is based in Seattle, and they've actually partnered with this organization called Convoy of Hope, which helps to provide meals to families in need. So, they've actually donated $1 million towards meals for the less fortunate and they've also been helping out at different food banks and just trying to support people who are unemployed through this time right now.
Speaker 1 2:17
Awesome. Well, thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me.
Speaker 2 2:22
Yeah, no problem.
