Life In Isolation: The Coronavirus... Ashlee Lassiter
Title (Dublin Core)
Life In Isolation: The Coronavirus... Ashlee Lassiter
Description (Dublin Core)
A virtual exhibition by the Evansville Museum of Art, History and Science
I don't have a photo to share, but here's how the virus has affected me. I am a full-time bank teller who normally works nearly 50 hours a week and I do master's schooling during my limited time away from work. During this crisis, I am considered an essential employee and am required to still be at work and exposed to the virus on a daily basis because people in Montgomery, AL where I work just won't go home and stay home. No one is taking it seriously. Unfortunately, I have a serious immune disorder where I was born missing a third of my immune system.
Because of the virus, I have been forced to file for indefinite FMLS and likely won't leave the house for six weeks or more. This pandemic has completely changed my life and if I go out in public there is a real chance that I could lose my life.
