Text (Omeka Classic)
Life on a farm during the pandemic has been very confusing. My entire family lives on the farm in separate houses, although we are practicing social distancing we all gather at one persons house or another almost every day. This has provided me, my wife and our 1-year-old twins the opportunity to grow closer with our family, as well as share in each others worries and cares. WE live and work on a chicken farm and the business of raising chickens has been a booming one. The pandemic has not slowed our ability to raise chickens and provided a needed service for the community in which we serve. The dichotomy of social distancing on a farm is that when the family is also there, there is no distance that can keep us apart.
