Okay. Hi. My name is Katy Jue and I'm a graduate student intern with the COVID-19 archive at ASU. The date is February 16, 2021. The time is 9:36pm, Pacific Standard Time. And I'm speaking with Lila Jue, I want to ask you a question about your pandemic experience. But before I do, I would like to ask for your consent to record this response for the COVID-19 archive. The COVID-19 archive is a digital archive at ASU that is collecting pandemic experiences. Do I have your consent to record your response and add it to the archive with your name?

Lila Jue 0:42
Yes.

Kathryn Jue 0:44
Thank you. First, can you tell me your name, age, race and where you live?

Lila Jue 0:53
My name is Lila Jue. I am 71 years old. Where I live?

Kathryn Jue 1:04
Oh um, your race.

Lila Jue 1:07
What's the you-ee?

Kathryn Jue 1:09
Oh, race. R a c e?

Lila Jue 1:12
Oh. I'm Chinese.

Kathryn Jue 1:15
And then where, no problem, and then, where do you live?

Lila Jue 1:24
Okay, I'm Chinese.

Kathryn Jue 1:26
Yeah. Good. And then where do you live?

Lila Jue 1:31
In North Hills, California.

Kathryn Jue 1:34
Thank you. Okay. Now I'd like to ask you just like one quick question about the pandemic. We've experienced a lot of changes in 2020. And many has been negative and disruptive. But perhaps it's not all bad. What's one positive thing you've experienced during the pandemic?

Unknown Speaker 1:55
I discover lots of friendships and Zoom, and lots of support to all the friends, family, church members, and it was not as bad as I think.

Kathryn Jue 2:10
Thank you for your time today.

Lila Jue 2:12
You're welcome.
