Text (Omeka Classic)
Stay-at-Home orders have me enjoying a slower, quieter morning as Spring arrives. School begins at 9:00 AM instead of 7:30 AM and no commute or sharing of the shower schedule with the rest of the family, so I can wake up to the birds chirping instead of the blare of an alarm, and I can make a cup of tea and sit in the backyard and take 15 photos of my cup and my spoon to get just the right angle and just the right reflection. Maybe we will lash these moments of slow down to our backs and carry them with us out of COVID isolation. Maybe we will remember mornings that allowed us the quiet and the birdsong and the time for (literal) reflections.
