The Environment and The Pandemic

The Environment collection in the JOTPY archive includes more than 400 items that demonstrate the interaction of humans and nature during these pandemic times. The items in the collection include photographs, text stories, oral histories, and news articles.

From individuals developing a closer relationship with nature as a way to cope with the effects of the pandemic to environmental issues such as pollution and wildlife behavior changes during the pandemic, these items show us that humans and nature are intricately connected.  One of the lessons we can learn from the pandemic is to appreciate and protect the natural world.
