Text (Omeka Classic)
The virus has been a horror story, dark and scary; unreal until a couple of days ago. I did not know of any who had gotten sick, my parents and friends did but, I did not. I kept my hope that no one I knew would get sick. You do not realize all the people you love until some type of disaster like this happens. Yesterday, my best friend’s grandmother passed away from the virus, she was brilliant, brave, and had the kindest soul. She used to watch me and my friend when we were young; I have not seen her in years but the idea of her no longer alive made the situation feel real. The virus is no longer a horror but a real-life tragedy, one can only wish that it will get better.
