I recently ordered a pair of shoes from the Keen shoe company. When they arrived, I opened the box to find four stylish face masks made by Keen. The card suggested I keep some for family members and give some to any health care workers I know. For me, this is an indication that face masks have gone mainstream-- they are now a branding opportunity, an opportunity to build customer loyalty. I've been using flimsy blue medical-style masks for the past couple of weeks. They are about to fall apart, so I appreciated Keen sending me sturdier masks. This was a pleasant surprise. I may be wearing these for months to come.
