Text (Omeka Classic)
I am a 21 year old college student in Nebraska. COVID 19 has affected my life in many ways socially mentally, physically, and spiritually. At the time during college, I would always talk o or help a person with their academics or homework during the school week and hangout with friends in the college library and student center. On the weekends I would then go to work being a cashier. During this pandemic, my college has switched to online classes, and I feel like I have been academically struggling due to scheduling everything online. With being a cashier, I have experienced everything from the toilet paper shortage to making sure everyone has a mask in the store. I would rather have my guests have a safe environment to shop than to get sick with COVID19. This pandemic has also affected my home living with both positives and negatively. I have done al lot more chores and projects to help around the house. The negative to this that is the isolation from everyone. The only places where I mostly have been work and home at almost a daily basis. Work is now my new way on being social to people safely. Overall I believe that if people in the Midwest region and around the world continue to do whatever the CDC and why doctors and healthcare workers want, and not retaliate against wearing masks and stay at home orders, then the virus would slowly go away. Please go get essential when they are needed. Thank you for your time reading my struggles being a college students during this epidemic.
