Text (Omeka Classic)
When you were little, petting a cute puppy on the street was one thing that put a giant smile on your face. Scratching its belly and getting all sorts of kisses from your new friend was the definition of childhood. Now as I walk the streets with my dogs trying to get some exercise in this time of isolation, I have to tell children "No, you may not pet my dog." As much as it breaks my heart to see the sad frown form on their face its in an effort to protect them and myself. We don't know as much as we would like about this virus that forces us to create a barrier with everyone we love, the only thing we can do is follow the guidelines given to use. Sorry, little children, you may not pet my dog even though he wants to be pet by you.
